The E.C. Gunasekera Inaugural Memorial Oration
by Lalanath De Silva, LLM
In the backdrop of the teachers strike, we publish a tribute from a student to a teacher
We, the old boys of the Royal College Colombo, 82 Group, after leaving our great school went on our own directions. Members of our group migrated to all parts of the world. Some settled in Sri Lanka and the others settled in different parts of the world. We, who migrated to Australia, settled down in different States depending on their preferences. However, though we are far apart geographically within the country, we try to meet whenever possible to maintain our childhood relationships and links.
We, the Group of 82 batchmates in Australia, have been supporting the 3rd child of our late batchmate Chrishantha Fernando (well known as Washington) since October 2019. The child receives an amount of Rs.10,000 per month from us towards his welfare and education. Given below is a brief note from Sanjaya Herath and how the project was initiated.
